If you’re looking for a cheap affordable dashboard camera then look no further. The G1W provides everything you need at the price you want to pay. It is also known as the GS108 depending where you get it from.
Originally manufactured in China at low cost, you may expect it to be of cheap quality, but the G1W holds its own with its surprisingly high quality video at a resolution of 1080p.
Compared to many other similar priced dash cams the G1W surpasses them all on the image quality front. The day time video is fair and is perfect for security and evidence purposes in case of an accident.
However, the night time footage seems somewhat fuzzy at times and not nearly as good as in the day. But its WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) feature does enhance it up a bit. But its still a lot more preferable to other cameras in its price range. At around $50 this is an absolute bargain!
The G1W fits fairly snug behind your rear view mirror despite its size so it wont get it the way or be very noticeable from the outside.
Standard features you’d expect from a dashboard camera is no different with the G1W. Loop recording, auto on/off, G-Force sensor and a motion detector all work as they should. It also comes equipped with a 2.7 inch screen, perfect for watching and adjusting the dash cam. But unfortunately you get no GPS.
Customer feedback and reviews have been very positive on the G1W. Despite its rather cheap look and feel, but if it performs who cares.
